Well, it's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. This is the Stephen In the Evenin' Links Page. And, we want to link up with you. If you have a website and want us to put up a link, e-mail Producer Nick here. All we ask in return is that you give us a link on your page. I mean, that's not too much to ask, now is it? So, send us a link to your band, record label, or even personal site (we want to include all the listeners).
WLUW- Of course we have to begin with a link to the station website. Check it out. You'll find out all you ever wanted to know about WLUW and then some.
BANDSMy Delusion- These guys are a rockin' local band who are big supporters of the show and the station. Check 'em out. Also, check out the Listener's Page for a pic of lead singer Suzi belting out a tune. The Blacks- Another great local band. This alt-country band have been guests on the show. Check out their site. Million Yen- Not only are these guys a great local band, but frontman Andy Gerber runs Million Yen Studios, one of the best recording studios in Chicago. They have also been guests on the show. Give 'em a look. Busker Soundcheck- They may have broken up, but we still love the music of this great local band who have been on the show. Frisbie- These guys have been on the show a couple of times. They've gotten a lot of great press and deserve every bit of it. I think you'll like what you hear. OKGO- Another group that has appeared on the show. These guys have been doing a lot of touring lately with bands like They Might Be Giants and with the NPR show This American Life. They have a really great sound. Plus, they were just signed to Capitol Records. Check them out. Land Of The El Caminos- A "Chicago Power Pop Trio." These guys basically rock. There really isn't any other way to put it. They put out high-energy music and carry it through to their live shows. They're good friends of the show and have been guests a few times. Gidgets GaGa- Local Chicago band that has been on the show a couple times. They have a great sound and a brand new website. Check it out. I think you're going to like it. Starball- Local Chicago band and good friends to the show. Tamar and the band know how to rock. Their website is brand new. Check it out.
RECORD LABELS Bloodshot Records- Local label featuring a lot of great country artists such as The Blacks and Ryan Adams. Alligator Records- Chicago blues label. When you think Chicago, you think the blues. And when you think the blues, you think Alligator. Hear Diagonally Records- Great local label that is home to artists such as Frisbie. Bobsled Records- Aurora-based record label run by a past guest of ours, Bob Salerno. They have some great bands signed like The Waxwings. |
